Showreel

Featuring a variety of projects I have filmed

Post high school musical

An observational documentary I single-handedly produced. Over 100 hours of action shot; currently editing. I documented the following year’s production (‘Spring Awakening’) as well, forming a sequel.

"Following a student musical theatre society on their journey from auditions to the final performance and beyond for the musical Bad Girls"

Work Life

A short office drama based on a graduate’s job in London; filmed in Cornwall over three days. Single-camera shoot.

Snowmotion

I lived in Cornwall for years but this was the first time I’d seen it snow there — I wanted to capture the beauty of the snowfall in slow-motion

Photographs

A mixture of photographs I’ve taken over the years.

Videofra.me

I watch a lot of visual media and habitually take screenshots at moments I think are visually striking - I've hosted my selections from over 11,000 screenshots taken on the videofra.me tumblr.

videos

A variety of my earlier visual work

A brief abstract video with a slightly twisted take on how time is spent watching commercials instead of the content you came to watch.

Another abstract video playing on the fluid yet unstoppable nature of time.

Demonstrative video for a group project - I was responsible for the construction paper model & lighting, and sound effects. Animations and voice over done by other group members.

Another abstract project - a video intended to be projected on to a stone surface such as tile or brick. The top two segments contain marbles rolling down tarmac in one, and gravel rlling down a rick in the other. Both these pour in to the middle video which is a constant flow of sand -this in turn flows in to the water in the bottom video. The constant heartbeat and pulse were to emphasise the message of the piece - the easy road (with colourful marbles) and the hard road (with gravel) both resulting in 'death' (the sand) and then the rebirth metaphors of water.
